Private Parking Lot for Cyclists in Izmir

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, which produces new projects to promote bicycle use, has created "free bicycle parks" in 16 indoor car parks with the slogan "Choose Bicycle, Park Free".

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality continues to undertake important projects on the way to become a “Bicycle City”. The Metropolitan Municipality, which increased the cycle paths in the city to 61 kilometers and made this sport widespread with the BİSİM project, created free bicycle parking spaces in a 16-storey and closed parking lot after the "Counting Totems". In order to integrate bicycles with car park systems as a means of transportation and make the use of bicycles attractive, the works started under the slogan of "Choose Bike, Park for Free" has been completed. The parking lots of the bicycles and the direction and information signs that draw attention to the appropriate points were mounted. A total of 102 bicycle parking fixtures were installed, and an area was searched for 203 bikes.
