Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Ahmet Arslan, opened today in Izmir and the foundation of the project of the cost of 1 billion 550 million liras said.

Arslan, wishing all the openings to be beneficial, said: “The price of the projects carried out by the General Directorate of Highways and which we will open tonight is 722 million liras. 830 million pounds in our railway project. Therefore, the cost of the projects that are opened and the foundation of which was opened today in İzmir is 1 billion 550 million liras. We are grateful to our Prime Minister and our President for their patronage. ” he spoke.

Arslan also thanked those who contributed to the projects.

Tunnels made in the difficult passage between İzmir and Manisa, which Evliya Çelebi depicts as “terrible Sabuncubeli” in his travel book, reduce the distance between the two cities to 15 minutes.

The tunnels will provide both safety, speed and fuel savings on the Izmir-Manisa road, which is used by 40 vehicles per day, and the transportation problems experienced in the winter will be eliminated.
