German Railways (DB) Open to Asian Market

He signed an agreement between the German Railways and the Georgia Railway company in Berlin on 12 June for future joint projects in the rail transport industry. The signed agreement aims to strengthen the European - Asian transport corridor and increase the share of Deutsche Bahn in the Asian Logistics market.

As part of the agreement, the WB will establish a subsidiary to carry out the organization of railway freight transport within the EU and will be responsible for the transport in this corridor.

The Georgian Railways are responsible for the Middle East and India corridor and will be responsible for the transportation of cargo from Constanta along with intermodal transport to Georgia and Azerbaijan through East Caspian Sea.

Currently, the biggest venture from European railway transportation, DB, continues its growth by opening to the Asian market. It is clear that the DB will be a pioneer in the field of railway freight transport in Europe in the following years with the knowledge, experience, vehicle park and trained staff.
