According to the information obtained, the freight train of TCDD Taşımacılık A.Ş., which made the Batman-Diyarbakır expedition, derailed in Sur district at around 15.30 yesterday. While there was no loss of life in the accident, where the wagons were empty, many wagons were damaged by getting off the road.
TCDD teams from Malatya started to work in order to remove the wagons off the rail and re-open the damaged railway line.
It was learned that the boiler was caused by the expansion of the rails due to extreme temperatures. The investigation was launched.
