Today in History
12 June 1933 Mühürdarzade Nuri Bey and his partners won the tender for the Sivas-Erzurum line (690 km) and the Malatya-Çetinkaya lines. The line ended in December 1938. Now the slogan "Turkish knowledge, Turkish capital, Turkish contractor and railway with the Turkish worker" has started to be used instead of the slogan "Just a little more shimendifer".
