Malatya-Elazığ Express, Customs and Trade Minister Bülent Tüfenkci and General Director of TCDD Transportation Inc. Veysi Kurt 13 June 2018 with the attendance of the first journey from Malatya Gar ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, Customs and Trade Minister Bülent Tüfenkci said, ığ Once we, Malatya and Elazığ together, we think together, we are growing together and developing together. Malatya-Elazığ Express is one of the steps in this sense. E he said.
Tüfenkci reminded that Malatya and Elazığ are among the 10 provinces which are selected as pilot provinces for the transportation of industrial sites out of the city and drew attention to the importance of infrastructure investments for economic growth.
Referring to the Malatya-Elazığ-Diyarbakır High Speed Train Project, Tüfenkci also stated that the total investment of 180 millions with the Wagon Repair Factory was acquired in Malatya.
Railways were like a sleeping giant between 1950-2002
