KARDEMİR A.Ş. Mr. Ömer Faruk, Chairman of the Board of Directors, issued a written statement in which he stated that they have started negotiations with the Provincial Directorate of Karabük İŞ-KUR in order to provide staff in the units where KARDEMİR is needed.

As it is known, our company has renewed its technology, increased its capacities, provided high value added product diversity with the investments it has carried out since 2002, and has also contributed to meeting social expectations and needs in Karabük by simultaneously continuing its environmental and social responsibility projects.
Only the amount of investment made since 2010 has reached approximately $ 1,3 billion. As a result of these investments in which a new integrated iron and steel plant was established in Kardemir, we increased our liquid steel production over 2017 million 2 thousand tons in 400. On the product side, we have completed and commissioned our rail hardening facility, which increases the added value on the rail. We focused on efforts to diversify our product range with high value-added strategic products that will contribute to closing the foreign trade deficit in the Turkish Steel Industry. In our Çubuk Kangal Rolling Mill, we have presented 40 different products in 130 different steel quality to the market.
In this facility, tire wire used in the automotive sector and almost all imported substitution, prestressed concrete steels used in various industrial sectors including infrastructure investments, and studies for the production of steel grades required for fasteners used in automotive, defense industry and white goods sectors are continuous. As I mentioned before, this year, we will be producing more than one thousand tons of high quality steel which we have imported from abroad.
We are now nearing the end of the Railway Caster Factory, which is under construction within the scope of strategic investment, and we want to start commissioning operations in the next few months. We will have completed and commissioned our remaining environmental investments by the end of October this year.
3,5 which will carry our company to 4 Million tons. Investments in increasing the Continuous Casting Facility and Converter Capacities have actually started and there is a feverish work in the field.
With these investments I mentioned above, the growth in Kardemir brings together the need for qualified personnel. On the one hand, we have started negotiations with Karabük İŞKUR Provincial Directorate to supply the personnel we need due to this growth, which has been accompanied by the retirement of the service and the new investments to be commissioned.
I would especially like to state that we will recruit staff from Karabük. As we have always considered that the people of Karabük and Kardemir are a whole, we aim to contribute to the growth of Kardemir and Karabük by employing our competent young people with vocational education.
Together with these new personnel, Kardemir will continue to produce products for the country and for our country as a company that creates qualified products, produces products with high added value and produces value for all of its stakeholders.
