Larende Railway Underpass Asphalted

With the cooperation of Karaman Municipality and TCDD, asphalt pavement works were started in Larende underpass within the scope of High Speed ​​Train (YHT) Project.

The Larende and the Sumer neighborhood, which will connect the center of the city to the end of the Larende underpass was reached. Karaman Municipality Directorate of Science Affairs teams, Larende under the hot asphalt pavement began. Following the asphalt, pavement and landscaping arrangements, the underpass will be put into service and opened to vehicle traffic.

Stating that the work on the underpass has been completed, Mayor Ertuğrul Çalışkan: “We are opening another very important project in Karaman. Larende underpass is about to be completed in order to relieve transportation and secure it. This was one of the problems of Karaman, which has been waiting to open for half a century. Fortunately, thanks to the project we have realized with the cooperation of our Municipality and TCDD, we will have connected Larende, Sümer and Yenişehir Neighborhoods to the city center. Our citizens will be able to move to Larende side and city center in a much shorter way, much more comfortably and safely.
