Nusaybin Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen, who made a press statement on behalf of the NGO and Transporters Ömer Özel, said that they would like to start the train services again in the district.

6 - 7 October After the events of Kobani (Ayn Al Arab), the train expeditions to Nusaybin Railway have been canceled. There is no factory in our district, our only source of livelihood is the railway and border crossing. The fact that both the border gate and the railway are closed affects our district tradesmen negatively. As the people of Nusaybin, we want the train services to be started urgently from both our government and our government. There is now peace in Nusaybin, there is absolutely no security problem. If our people are unemployed, if train services begin, it will be the bread gate for at least a thousand families. We demand that our state elders listen to our call as soon as possible. As all NGOs in Nusaybin, we will move this initiative to Ankara. ”

Making a statement after the press release, Nusaybin Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Mahsum Özmen stated that 40 to 50 wagons were transported daily to the district before the train services were canceled. Noting that the cargoes to Nusaybin were sent to all Middle Eastern countries, especially Iraq, Özmen said that all the transportation companies in the District were on the verge of bankruptcy.

After the announcements, NGO managers and transporters decided to take part in the actions of the General General of the Railways in order to restart the train services.
