Visiting the Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce (GTO), Minister of Transport, Communication and Maritime Ahmet Arslan, Chairman of the Board Tuncay Yıldırım made a presentation on the Logistics Village planned to be established in Gaziantep. Indicating that the logistics village will add value to Gaziantep's economy and that the logistics village is essential for Gaziantep and its economy, Yıldırım requested support from Arslan, the Minister of Transport, Communication and Maritime, regarding the logistics village.

Gaziantep is the 6,5th most exporting country in the country with its economic struggle and 6 billion dollars export. While the total exports of our sister cities Denizli, Konya and Kayseri, which are Anatolian tigers, are 4,2% of our country's exports, Gaziantep alone makes 4.5% of the country's exports. While exports per capita are $ 1.649 in our country, exports per capita in Gaziantep are $ 3.170. We have a current surplus economy. In Gaziantep, the ratio of exports to imports is 126 percent. As Gaziantep, we consume 31 percent of the export of machine made carpet in the world and 2 percent of the electricity consumed by our country in the Organized Industrial Zone. We produce 90 percent of carpet production in our country, 89 percent of PP yarn production, 92 percent of plastic shoes, slippers and 92 percent of Nonwowen fabric. There are crazy projects in the files of the Crazy Antepl, one of these projects is the "LOGISTIC VILLAGE" project. Supporting this project to carry Gaziantep to the future will contribute to the achievement of our country's 2023 goals. ”
YILDIRIM "WE WANT TO MAKE GAZIANTEP A LOGISTIC BASE OF THE REGION"
Emphasizing that Gaziantep has achieved its success in the economy as well as its operations, the Logistics Village Project will add value to Gaziantep and the regional economy. We want this land, which has no agricultural area, to be removed from the pasture quality for the future of our city, region and country. Gaziantep logistics Village Project will make another crazy project, Hassa-Dörtyol Tunnel, meaningful. We want to make Gaziantep the logistics base of the region. It is very important that our Ministry of Transport initiates its efforts to have a Logistics Village model with a legal infrastructure and support model. As Gaziantep is the only voice until the roughness is cleared for the logistic village, we will voice it on every platform. We want to present this village to Gaziantep in the 100th Anniversary of the Republic ”.
At the meeting at GTO Assembly President Hilmi Teymur, they considered the logistic village project very important, that the realization of the project was important for our country's and the region's commercial and economic sense and it was important for the 5th biggest economy of the country.
