The decision to change the speed limit at the Eskişehir ring road, which was taken during the General Assembly Meeting of the Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME), which was chaired by Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, was started to be implemented at 15 March 2018.
With the increase of the speed limit to 82 on high-divided roads under the responsibility of the General Directorate of Highways, cars, minibuses, buses, vans and panel wagons will be able to speed up to 10 with the option of 90. Vehicle drivers expressed their satisfaction with the decision to increase the speed limit of 2014 to 70 kilometers since 82. Authorities have stated that this speed increase does not cover heavy vehicle vehicles and warned car owners to pay more attention to traffic rules with increased speed limit.
