With the widespread use of healthcare services and the proliferation of hospitals, the medical wagons, which were used for a period and known as "doctor wagons" among the people, were also disabled. The doctor's wagon, which was abandoned to its fate in Uşak by TCDD 3rd Regional Directorate, was taken to Alsancak Train Station, was taken into maintenance and repaired according to its original with intensive work. Patients coming from towns and villages were examined, medicines were given and, if necessary, surgeries were performed in specially equipped wagons with operating room, pharmacy, doctor's office, dormitory and kitchen sections, where doctors, nurses and caregivers served.
