Izmir Metropolitan Municipality ESHOT General Directorate is launching the “Pay as you go” application in Iferi, in Seferihisar, which has been selected as a pilot region since Monday, April 2, 2018. Thanks to the new application, those who travel short distances will take a “more affordable” journey by taking back the price of the distance they did not travel. Citizens are 15 TL for the first 2,50 km. it will pay 10 Kurus for each subsequent km.
Aiming to increase the attractiveness of public transportation, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is switching to a new system on long-distance lines where the district tariff of ESHOT General Directorate is applied. In the first place, the system, where the passengers on the Seferihisar-Üçkuyular Pier line no. 985 will pay as much as they go, and those who travel short distances can travel less cheaply, is activated on Monday, April 2nd. In the current situation, the fee of the distance that is not traveled with the new system will be refunded to the passengers in the boarding where the county tariff is valid and the fee of 5 lira is charged. Thus, those traveling short distances will have gone “cheaper”.
How will the system work?
The transportation fee determined from the bus to the last stop will be blocked from the balance in İzmirim Kart. On the check-in machine at the landing gates, the card will be removed and the blockage will be removed. The system will calculate the amount to be paid according to the distance between the stall and the stall, and return the remaining amount to the card. If the card is not read at the landing, the passenger will be accepted at the last stop and no refund will be made to the card. The return machines will only be active when the landing doors are open, and passengers will not be allowed to block when the bus is in motion. Also during the voyage, the inspection staff in the bus will perform the blockage check on the cards. Despite the unblocking of the passengers of the car will be closed to use the cards.
The fare tariff of Üçkuyular İskele-Seferihisar line 5.37, where the journey to be made on the whole line will remain as 985 TL for the full ticket, will be applied as follows:
Full tariff: 15 TL for the first 2,50 km. 0,10 TL for every subsequent mile
Student / 60 age tariff: 15 for the first 1,44 km. 0,05 TL for every subsequent mile
Teacher schedule: 15 for the first 1,92 km. 0,07 TL for every subsequent mile
Bus good news to Sığacık
ESHOT General Directorate will cancel line 985 as of April 2, due to the establishment of line 730. On the same date, with the 640 Seferihisar-Sığacık line, transportation services will be provided all day to the Sığacık region. With this new line to be opened, it is aimed to revitalize Sığacık, one of the touristic centers.

Full tariff: 2,00 TL
Student / 60 age schedule: 1,15 TL
Teacher's schedule: 1,54 TL
