Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mevlüt Uysal promised to work on the construction work on the Istiklal Caddesi environmental studies are ongoing. 24 pieces into the historic street were placed on the tree in potted.
The landscaping works of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Directorate of Park Gardens have been inspired by the unique and historical texture of Istiklal Street. Within the scope of the project, 1350 potted trees were placed on the 24 meter historic street.
Taksim Square, Aga Mosque Front, Galatasaray Square, Odakule and Tunnel Square within the scope of the work, 20 meters were placed in pots. Four different types of trees are placed in pots, while greening the historic street and contributing to the aesthetics of Beyoğlu with its modern and original designs. Tree species, ilex and bay were always chosen as green species. 4 pieces from the pots were designed to accommodate the visitors of Istiklal Street.
SAKSILAR ESNAFIN VIEWS TAKEN
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Park Gardens Department, located along the Istiklal Street pots, while determining the location of the tradesmen, took the views. The pots were placed in such a way that the shopkeepers could not cover the shops.
The design of the pots designed as wooden places of residence was inspired by the texture of Istiklal Street and the historical buildings on the street. İBB Park Gardens Department will also place fruit tree pots according to the seasons in Istiklal Street.
