Georgian government signs 50 percent reduction in rail freight transport to Uzbekistan
According to the news from the Georgian Foreign Trade press service, a 50 percent reduction agreement was reached on rail freight transportation from Georgia to Uzbekistan.
The agreement signed in Tbilisi on 23 February 2018 was signed by Özbek Deputy Foreign Minister Sahib Saifnazarov.
"At the end of these negotiations, the Georgian side went to a 50 percent reduction in the transportation of all goods from Uzbekistan," Sahib Saifnazarov said in a statement.
It has been reported that issues such as railway transportation and efficient use of international transportation corridors were discussed during the meeting of the Uzbek side with the officials of the "Georgia Railway" company.
