The infrastructure, landscaping and renewal of the tram rails of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, which started on Beyoğlu and Istiklal Avenue on 13 January, has come to an end. The Nostalgic Tram, which was removed in this context, was brought back to Taksim last night for a test drive.
While the two wagons of the tram are lowered to Taksim Square, the two wagons that have just been built and not placed on the rails are kept covered with tarpaulins. Nostalgic Tram will start test drives if the work on the rail and electricity arrangement is finished.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality teams continue to work on the tram before the new year.
