President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan came to Sivas to make an official opening of 821 works and services with an investment value of 53 million liras. Erdogan said that in the past 15 years, 20 quadrillion investments have been made in Sivas.
Expressing that there is a little delay in the Ankara-Sivas High Speed Train Project due to technical reasons, Erdogan said that he was following the project step by step and he would ask the account of those who caused the delay.
Erdogan explained that the Ankara-Sivas High Speed Train Line will not only end with Sivas, but will connect to Erzincan, Erzurum and Kars, and then to Beijing, the Iron Silk Road Line, and opened the Kars-Tbilisi-Baku Railway step by step. He explained that they would implement this project.
Emphasizing that they have placed Sivas in the center of all railway networks, Erdogan said, “This suits Sivas, which is the production center of our country's freight wagons. The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Fikri Işık, Minister of Environment and Urbanization Mehmet Özhaseki, Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu, Minister of National Education İsmet Yılmaz and Olympic wrestler Taha Akgül.
