Samsun Çarşamba Airport, which was closed approximately 3 months ago due to the maintenance work on its runway, will be reopened on November 7.
Samsun Governor Osman Kaymak, said at the airport 3 months before the end of the studies, he said.
Stating that Samsun Çarşamba Airport will enter the service again on November 7, Kaymak said, “We are following the construction of the airport step by step. No obstacles are visible at the moment. Hopefully, flights will be made on November 7. ” said.
Samsun Çarşamba Airport was closed to transportation on August 8 due to the cracks formed on its runway and taken into maintenance.
In the process of water, passengers coming to Samsun by airline started to use the airports in Ordu, Merzifon and Sinop.
According to the data of the State Airports Authority (DHMİ), a flight was made from Samsun Çarşamba Airport, which was used by approximately 1 million 800 thousand people last year, to Istanbul and Ankara, Izmir for 4 days, and Antalya on Wednesdays.
There were also direct flights from the airport to Germany, 4 days to Russia, Austria, France and Ukraine.
