Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality broke a record in the number of passengers transported on Friday, November 17, with thousands of citizens using the metro lines. The total number of passengers transported in one day on all metro lines was 2 million 69 thousand 960 people. Metro Istanbul, the company of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, broke 3 separate records in the number of trips.
While the total number of passengers carried on all lines was 2 million 69 thousand 960 people, 1 thousand 495 people and M739 on the M4 Yenikapı - Airport / Kirazlı Metro Line Kadıköy - 355 thousand 673 passengers were served on the Kavşantepe Metro Line. The line, which is under construction and expected to be put into service soon, is added to the metro network, and this number is expected to reach 4-5 million people daily.
