Construction of Tashkent metro line started

He stated that the construction of the Tashkent peripheral metro line, which has a total length of 52.1 kilometers, started in Uzbekistan.

According to the news reported from the Jahon news agency, the project is planned to be implemented between 2017-2021 in five stages. At the first stage the Friendship station will be connected to the largest Kulyuk market in the city. The length of this line will be 11 kilometers and eight stations will be built along the line.

In the second phase, the line from the Kulyuk market will be connected to the Almazar metro station. In the third stage Almazar - Beruni, then Beruni-Bodomzor and finally Bodomzor-Dustlik lines will be constructed.

According to the report, the President of Uzbekistan gave instructions to the relevant authorities to complete this metro line until 2020.
