Karaosmanoğlu said, “We need to use underground now” and said “This also means metro. We start the Gebze metro in Darıca. We are integrating with Istanbul with the metro that will start from Darica beach. We will make a connection in Çayırova in the future. Gebze and Istanbul have a very close relationship. This line is 15.6 kilometers. The round trip will be a 32-kilometer line. There will be 12 stations. Transportation between Darıca, Gebze and OIZs will be provided in 19 minutes. The estimated budget is 2.5 Billion TL. Big job. I hope we will do this with our own budget. The project is 4 years and 4 months in total. We will take the metro in Gebze before 2023, that is, on the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Republic. "We want to make the tender at the beginning of 2018 and lay the foundation in the middle of that year," he said.
