Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Çakır; "We have achieved a serious quality in public transportation."

In Malatya, the trambus line, which breathed public transportation and created great satisfaction for the passengers, was extended to ÖZSAN Sanayi Sitesi Intersection.

Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Çakır examined the extension of the trambus line from MAŞTİ to Özsan and received information from MOTAŞ General Manager Enver Sedat Tamgacı.

TRAMBUS stressed that time with a serious quality of public transport in Malatya Mayor Ahmet Cakir captured, trambü are reminded that it is a project implemented for the first time in Turkey.

Mayor Çakır said, “As Malatya Metropolitan Municipality, we have made significant investments in transportation. We have demonstrated a serious quality in public transportation in Malatya. Therefore, we have achieved a serious level in transportation, both in places that are regionally transformed into public buses and the introduction of the trambus. TRAMBUS was a project first implemented in Turkey. We provide transportation of our fellow citizens in an extremely comfortable and safe environment. First of all, the trips of our trabuses running between MAŞTİ and the University have been extended to ÖZSAN. Here, we provide the transportation of the region with the battery on the vehicles without drawing the catenary line. We carry an average of 30 thousand passengers per day by trambus. Our trambuses make 140 trips daily.

Our pink tram has also been activated. Trambus comes to ÖZSAN industrial site junction every 12 minutes, and every 6 minutes during peak hours in the university area. We saw it on the spot and examined it. We see that the trambus is more preferred. Hopefully, the number of our trabuses increases every year and will be activated in different parts of our city. There are bus services in the Temelli region in order to relieve the passenger density in the university and research hospital. Here, too, there is a serious demand. We carry around 7 thousand passengers. Our work on transportation continues. I would like to thank our MOTAŞ General Manager and all colleagues ”.
