“European Mobility Week” has been celebrated in many cities across Europe and the world since 2002. With the activities to be held under the leadership of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, it is aimed to raise awareness on environmentalist and sustainable transportation solutions. The European Mobility Week, which is celebrated between 16-22 September, is attended by 48 cities from 2310 countries this year.
During the week of the event, it is aimed to raise awareness by participating cities, city centers in the restriction of motor vehicle traffic, public transportation and sustainable mobility alternatives.
Within the scope of the events organized by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department, on 22 September Friday, between 06.00-19.00, the motorway traffic in Kartal-Bostancı coastal road in the direction of Bostancı was closed; will be allocated to pedestrians, bicycles and public transport.
