The drilling machine, which works in the construction of the railway in İzmit, Kocaeli, was overturned. Due to the cut off of the power transmission lines in the accident, all trains between Ankara and Izmit were stopped.
The incident occurred in the morning hours 07.30 Izmit Bay neighborhood of Salim Dervişoğlu Street occurred. Before the laying of the train rails that will perform suburban flights, the drilling machine which is drilling is overturned. While the construction machine disconnected the power lines on the railway, there were no injuries.
On the D-100 Highway, which passes by the railroad, transportation was provided from a single lane. While railway officers were working in the area, high-speed train and Ada Express services between Ankara and Izmit stopped. Work was initiated to lift the overturned work machine by crane and to repair the power lines.
