Karaman Lives Its Golden Age: Karaman Municipality's regular assembly meeting in July was held yesterday (03.07.2017) in the city council meeting hall. Mayor Ertuğrul Çalışkan, who made the opening speech of the meeting, made important statements about the giant projects to be implemented in Karaman.
Mayor Ertuğrul Çalışkan said in his speech at the regular assembly meeting of July: “Karaman has been experiencing one of its brightest periods in recent years with both public investments and investments of our municipality. Our Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Mr. Ahmet Arslan, who has no airport; Karaman, Yozgat and Bayburt-Gümüşhane announced that the airport construction tender will be held this year. In this context, the construction tender of Karaman Airport will be made as of August-September. Karaman Airport will be able to serve a population of approximately 1 million by its location. For this reason, building a basin here will also make a great contribution to our neighboring provinces and districts. I would like to thank our President, Prime Minister, Minister of Development, Lütfi Elvan Bey, MPs and everyone who contributed on behalf of myself and the people of Karaman. ”
Karaman Municipality undertakes the role of locomotive in large projects
Mayor Ertuğrul Çalışkan continued in his speech: “We are also taking important steps in projects such as the Logistics Center, Technopolis and the 2nd Organized Industrial Zone, which will provide great advantage for Karaman. These projects, which are vital for the city's economy, are progressing rapidly. Our municipality has undertaken the duty of locomotive in all public investments in Karaman. ”
Work Begins at New City Stadium
Referring to the new stadium project in his speech, Mayor Çalışkan: “Will it be done or not? Construction tender took place in the New City Stadium Project, where questions were constantly raised. The place was delivered. The only stadium project, the construction tender of which has been held so far this year, is in Karaman. Under this giant project, the approximate value of which is 100 million TL, including VAT; shopping centers, training grounds will be found. I hope the work will start as soon as possible. ”
