Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Ministry, with Turkey High-speed train (YHT) is continuing its work in order to equip all four sides. In this context, the Ankara-Sivas YHT project will be completed by the end of the year.
ISTANBUL'S NEW LINE
The first stage of the Sivas-Erzincan high-speed train project of the 245 kilometer, Sivas-Zara, was awarded the preliminary qualification tender. The tender for the project preparation of the Erzincan-Erzurum-Kars high-speed railway line will be launched this year. Gebze-Sabiha Gökçen Airport with a total length of 414 km- Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge Istanbul New Airport Halkalı YHT line was submitted to the High Planning Council (YPK) for approval to be included in the investment program. Istanbul and Edirne will reduce the time between one hour 'Halkalı-Kapıkule High Speed Train project is composed of 150 km Çerkezköy-Kapikule and 80 km Halkalı (Ispartakule) -Çerkezköy consists of two parts. Çerkezköy- The construction of the Kapikule section is scheduled for this year. Halkalı (Ispartakule) -Çerkezköy for the second half of the year 2017 is aimed at making the tender.
ANKARA IZMIR IN 2019
The planned completion year for Ankara-Izmir high-speed rail and Bursa-Bilecik high-speed rail projects was determined as 2019. Antalya-Burdur / Isparta-Afyonkarahisar-Kütahya-Eskişehir and Antalya-Konya-Aksaray-Nevsehir-Kayseri high-speed train projects are still in progress. The construction of the project and infrastructure works are continuing in the regions between Mersin-Adana-Osmaniye-Kahramanmaraş-Gaziantep which constitute the southern corridor.
7 NEW TERMINAL
The ministry also accelerated the construction of the High Speed Train Station to meet the growing passenger demand as well as the expanding high-speed train and high-speed train lines. Within this scope, YHT West Transfer Line with all kinds of socio-cultural facilities was planned in Etimesgut-Emirler for the citizens living in Yenimahalle, Etimesgut and Sincan in Ankara YHT gar complex to benefit from YHT and Başkentray before Ankara YHT arrives. On the other hand, Anadolu YHT Terminal, Sivas, Erzincan, Antalya, Bursa, Afyonkarahisar and Karaman YHT terminals will be built on the Anatolian side of Istanbul to support the increasing traffic in the near future.
