Uninterrupted freight transport from Europe to China by rail

Continuous freight transport by rail from Europe to China: The article titled "Uninterrupted Transport" was published in the June issue of the Raillife magazine by Ahmet Arslan, Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications.

An international effort to turn the corridor in all modes of transportation in Turkey showed that Turkey's recent economic success lies 15 years. Between Asia and Europe, there are three main corridors on the East-West route, north, south and middle corridor. The line, which is called tir Middle Corridor ini and which connects Central Asia and Caspian region to Europe via our country starting from China, is of great importance as a continuation of the historical Silk Road.

In this respect, the main axis of our country's transport policies has been to realize large-scale infrastructure investments to provide an uninterrupted transport line from China to London. For the development of the historical Silk Road in the Middle Corridor, which has taken its place as the route of trade caravans for centuries, from the Far East to Europe, it is necessary to establish railway networks both in Anatolia and the Caucasus and Central Asia.

In this context, Turkey at the Istanbul Strait in national and international road and rail transport between Asia and Europe will make a continuous route 3. When the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway Project, which is going to be completed very soon in parallel with the opening of the Bosphorus Bridge (Yavuz Sultan Selim) Project and Marmaray, which is connected with the railway, will be completed very soon. transport will become possible.

Initially, when the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway project (BTK) is put into service, 1 million passengers and 6,5 million tons of cargo, in the medium term 3,5 million passengers, 35 million tons of cargo is targeted to be transported.
