300 Million Environmental Investment from Kardemir: Karabük Iron and Steel Factories (KARDEMİR) stated that the environmental investments of 175 million liras continue in line with the commitment given to the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and the monitoring and audits of the Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization.
In a written statement made by Kardemir, it was stated that there were misleading news about air pollution on some websites broadcasting in the city.

As it is known, our company has completed 2008 Million TL environmental investments between the years 2015-300 and put it into operation.
Currently, our environmental investments amounting to TL 175 are continuing in line with the commitments made to the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and the monitoring / audits of the Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization.
In this context, the tender for the investment of Sinter Zone Dust Collection and Dedusting System with the budget of 1 Million TL in 2017 months ago was completed and the contractor firm was determined.
Our company has always been transparent in terms of environmental investments and two air quality monitoring stations for monitoring the air quality within the factory site were established in 2012 and connected to the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization online. Again, the Continuous Emission Measurement System was established and the dust and gas emissions of process chimneys were monitored online by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.
Kardemir will be aware of its responsibility towards the society, which is our most important stakeholder, and will complete the remaining environmental investments.
