EIA approval was given for Halkapınar-Otogar Metro: The EIA approval was given for Halkapınar-Otogar Metro, which was built in İzmir for years and which had bureaucratic obstacles. 4,5 is expected to complete in 30 a month
The Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication, the 2014-2017 investment program taken for the Halkapınar-Otogar underground subway, launched an important development regarding the EIA process. The process related to the studies that initiated the EIA process the month before 1 was completed and approval was received by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.
In İzmir, for a long time, significant progress was made in Halkapınar-Otogar, Üçkuyular-Narlıdere and Buca-Üçyol metro projects, which caused controversy between the Metropolitan and the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication.
The project prepared by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication regarding Halkapınar-Otogar project received approval from the Governorship of Izmir last month and the EIA process was initiated by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.
5 WILL STILL
In the first project submitted to the Ministry, while the subway was planned to be included in the high-speed train system, the project was revised in the new project prepared by the Ministry and it was decided to build a transfer station in the area of the warehouse and maintenance area in Halkapınar.
4,5 stops will be found in the 5 kilometer metro line, which will significantly relax the urban traffic. The Metro will start at Halkapınar Station, under the Şehitler Street (Vakıflar Station) and under the Kamil Tunca Boulevard (Altındağ and Çamdibi Stations) and end at the Otogar. There will also be a connection to the existing warehouse in Halkapınar. The descent will be carried out by elevator and escalator.
OPEN-CLOSE METHOD APPLIED
The on-off method applied in the Üsküdar-Sancaktepe Metro line, which was completed in Istanbul, will be implemented in Halkapınar-Otogar Metro Project. With the on / off system which will reduce the operating and construction costs and prevent the collapse of the roof, damage to the surrounding structures will be prevented. The drilling works at Halkapınar Station, which is the starting station, will be carried out with the New Austrian Tunneling Method, unlike the opening / closing system.
30 WILL BE COMPLETED
The project, which is expected to be completed in total 30 months, will cost 531 million TL. It will be the first metro in İzmir by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications.
