16 On March 2017, our sorumluluk Safe Transportation in the City ”social responsibility project, which we started at Mustafa Kemal Primary School, was implemented in central and village primary schools in Atakum, Canik, İlkadım and Tekkeköy districts of Samsun Province and we met with our 18.088 student. In our project, our volunteer trainers told our students how to use the public transportation vehicles in the city, how to help the elders and disadvantaged groups in public transportation. When we talked about these, we received very good criticism and suggestions from our young brothers. During the 2017-2018 period, we will try to contribute to the education process of our children with similar projects..

Speaking at the ceremony, Samsun Governor İbrahim ŞAHİN said, “We have come to the end of this beautiful project. We are in Traffic Week. Compliance with traffic rules has a great effect in preventing traffic accidents. Traffic education is not only for protecting one's own health, but also concerns someone else's life when you go on the traffic. This creates a mutual interaction. I'm not saying obey traffic rules to children. Children are following the rules anyway. I want you to warn your parents to obey the traffic rules. Our Samsun Police Chief and Gendarmerie Commander give me news of at least 24 traffic accidents every day within 10 hours. This hurts us a lot. I don't know why, there are so many traffic accidents in Samsun. We need to improve travel by public transport. No matter how many luxury vehicles we have individually, our speed there is decreasing day by day. The speed of vehicles in Istanbul varies between 30-20 kilometers. It can fall even lower from time to time. Traffic education is embedded in your mind for a very long time. The light rail line reached Tekkeköy. It will extend to Bafra and Wednesday in the future. Thus, the use of public transportation in our city will increase a little more ”.
