Baku Tbilisi Kars Railway to be put into service at the end of June

Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Ahmet Arslan stated that the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway Project will be put into service as of the end of June, and said, “From China, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, especially through Azerbaijan and Georgia, the freight movement in Central Asia will go to the west of Turkey and from there to Europe. ” said.

Minister Arslan, Kars Harakani Airport, Kars Governor Rahmi Doğan, AK Party Kars Deputy Yusuf Selahattin Beyribey, AK Party Kars Provincial President Adem Çalkın were welcomed by some provincial protocols and parties.

Arslan, who visited the Governorship of Kars, stated that they came to Kars to get on-site information about the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway project and to visit the districts.

Explaining that other project works related to transportation in the city are carried out smoothly, Arslan said, “Our General Manager and his colleagues have been doing the necessary work at the construction sites for how many days. In order to open it to business in June, our friends have done the necessary work to avoid any problems and to resolve any problems. There is no glitch in studies. We are pleased to see that the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway project will be put into service by the end of June. Thus, our country will be able to take a share in freight transportation. ” he spoke.
