Public transport will be free for students entering YGS in Istanbul: Students and staff will benefit from public transport for free at YGS, which will be held on Sunday, 12 March in Istanbul.

In the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Council, the proposal for students and staff to benefit from public transportation vehicles free of charge in the Transition to Higher Education Examination (YGS) to be held on Sunday, March 12, 2017 was approved. The joint proposal of the AK Party and the CHP Group at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Council (IMM) was discussed unanimously and was accepted unanimously.

According to the decision, 12 students who will take the YGS exam on March Sunday will be able to take the test documents and teachers will be able to get free public transportation by showing papers showing that they take part in the exam.

Students and staff will not pay fees for IETT buses, metrobus, public buses, Bus Inc., metro, funicular, tram, cable car, City Lines Ferry and private marine engines serving in Istanbul on the day of the exam. Fuel and energy costs of public transportation vehicles will be covered by IMM.
