Uninterrupted transportation from Beijing to London will begin this year: Deputy Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Yüksel Coşkunyürek announced that 14 billion TL has been invested in transportation projects in the last 304 years. He underlined that 180 thousand passengers are carried daily in Marmaray.
Deputy Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Yüksel Coşkunyürek participated in the "International Railway, Light Rail Systems, Infrastructure and Logistics Fair-Eurasia Rail" fair.
Making a statement at the "International Railway, Light Rail Systems, Infrastructure and Logistics Fair-Eurasia Rail" fair, which was held for the seventh time this year, Deputy Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Yüksel Coşkunyürek noted that there has been a great change in transportation in recent years and that everyone has benefited from this change.
Çoşkunyürek said, “The transportation investments made in the last 14 years reached 304 billion TL. This figure is not a figure to be underestimated. This investment includes all of our investments in the highways, airlines, railways, maritime and communications sector. Railway projects are one of the areas that have the biggest share in these investments. We can explain that the total amount of investment made in this field in the last 14 years is 60 billion Turkish lira ”.
"219 TIMES AND 180 THOUSAND PASSENGERS A DAY FROM MARMARAY"
Expressing that they continue their efforts to provide uninterrupted transportation from China to London, Coşkuryürek said that Marmaray, which was implemented in this context, made 219 trips a day and carried an average of 180 thousand passengers, and the number of passengers it carried to date reached 185 million.
Coşkunyürek stated that the Kars-Tbilisi-Baku line will be completed this year and uninterrupted transportation from Beijing to London will be provided this year.
Coşkunyürek, who mentioned the targets about the railway, said that the national high-speed train, the new generation national electric diesel train set, and the new generation national freight wagon works fast.
