İscehisara Logistics Center Project from TCDD: TCDD 7th Regional Directorate has accelerated the logistics center works in Iscehisar district of Afyonkarahisar.
TCDD is 7. Regional Directorate of Railway Modernization Service Directorate, by increasing the share of railway transportation in total transportation to 2023 until 10, by minimizing transportation costs in both domestic and import-export and transit transportation, accelerated efforts to contribute positively to macro equilibrium.
Within the scope of the studies, it is planned to contribute to the economy of the country by directing the preferences of the Ports, Organized Industrial Zone and factories in Afyonkarahisar province to the railway transportation.
For this reason, in order to transport the domestic and international cargoes of the factories operating within the borders of İscehisar District and İscehisar Marble Specialized Organized Industrial Zone by rail, the end of the logistics field works planned within the borders of İscehisar District was approached.
Furthermore, it was learned that TCDD iltisak line works, which will be carried out until the logistics area planned to be established in İscehisar along the high speed train route between Afyonkarahisar and İscehisar, were also approached to the end of the 2017 investment program.
Regarding the location of the logistics area to be built and the railway line route, İscehisar Governor Muhammet ÖZTABAK, İscehisar Mayor Mustafa ÇİBİK, TCDD 7. Regional Manager Adem SİVRİ, TCDD 7. Regional Service Manager Yusuf TETİK, İscehisar Marble Specialized OSB Manager Muhammed BACAKSIZ, İscehisar Municipality Science Works Manager Ahmet KABAN made observations on the railway line route to the planned logistics area.
İscehisar Mayor Mustafa ÇİBİK stated that the logistics center works should be terminated urgently and the logistics base is important for all companies operating in İscehisar.
