Visit from CER to TCDD Tasimacilik AS: The delegation led by the European Railway and Infrastructure Companies (CER) Executive Director Libor Lochman visited TCDD Tasimacilik AS on 17 February 2017 and made a presentation on the work of CER.

Veysi Kurt, General Director of TCDD Transportation, and Mehmet Uras, deputy general managers and executives were in attendance.

General Manager Kurt, in his meeting with Lochman emphasized the process of liberalization of railway transportation and said the following:

We aim to increase rail share in freight and passenger transportation and to carry out the railway activities without interruption. We work in accordance with the interests of our members and provide all kinds of support to our members. We would like to see your company as our member. ''

As it is known, CER is based in Brussels. It is a non-profit international association established with the aim of conducting studies on all issues related to the actions and objectives of the European Union (EU) in the field of transport, especially to analyze problems related to these issues from the rail sector point of view, to produce solutions and to ensure the implementation of solutions, to develop and improve the railway transportation sector. .

It organizes seminars, working meetings, reports and examinations and conducts lobby activities in line with the common interests of its members before the EU decision-making bodies.

Founded in 20 with 1988 members, CER has a total of 67 members, including 6 full members and 73 partners, consisting of infrastructure companies, railway operators and their national associations. Its members represent approximately 73 of the rail network of the EU, EFTA and EU candidate countries; it has the ability to represent the 80 of the rail freight transport and the 96 of the railway passenger transport.
