Train derailed in India 36 dead: 36 people died and nearly 100 were injured as a result of an express train derailment in the state of Andhra Pradesh in southeastern India.

The train's locomotive and seven wagons derailed on Saturday night, when railway officials suspected sabotage.

East Coast Railway SözcüJP Mishra stated that 36 people have died so far in the accident where the locomotive and seven wagons derailed, and 19 of them have been identified. Stating that the number of dead could increase, Mishra noted that nearly 100 people were injured.

In the train accident where rescue efforts started, Indian Prime Minister Narenda Modi expressed his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the social media. National Railway Minister Suresh Purabhu also announced that the families of those killed and injured in the accident will be helped.

According to a report prepared in 2012 in India, where train accidents occur frequently, approximately 15 thousand people die annually.

Two months ago, 14 wagons of a passenger train derailed in the state of Uttar Pradesh, in the north of the country, at least 145 people died and 76 people were injured, 226 of them seriously.
