From APİKAM to little ones

Special for the little ones from APIKAM: Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has started a new training program to instill the young people's urban history and culture. Students who visit the City and Transportation Exhibition at APİKAM are told with stories, while Izmir is also interactively attended by workshops.

Urban culture and history trainings for students started in İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Ahmet Piriştina City Archive (APİKAM). The program was welcomed by both students and teachers and parents.

Within the scope of the program prepared for 4th and 5th grade students, primary story presentation is made visually. Students then have the chance to interact with the city history interactively through a workshop. Students who visit the City and Transportation Exhibition opened at APİKAM have the chance to learn the history and cultural accumulation of the city in which they live.

With stories about the historical and cultural richness of İzmir, schools that want to participate in the program, which offers children the opportunity to get to know the city they live in and aim to instill urban awareness, will be able to call the phones numbered 293 39 11-01-02.

Within the scope of the training program, which is offered free of charge two days a week, themes such as the change and development of İzmir in history, Kemeraltı and its places, Kadifekale and its cultural riches, Atatürk and İzmir are covered. The program, which is prepared to tell the rich historical texture of İzmir to children, includes 4 different stories and workshops.
