Transportation problems in Samsun Yakakent were discussed: Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Transportation, Planning and Rail Systems Department met with transportation actors in Yakakent.
Yakakent Municipality Mayor Hüseyin Kıyma and Yakakent Municipality Branch Managers, Yakakent District Gendarmerie Command, District National Education Directorate, the Chamber of Drivers, cooperatives and associations' chairmen and members attended the meeting held in Yakakent Municipality Meeting Hall.
The meeting started with the opening speech of Kadir Gürkan, Head of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Transportation, Planning and Rail Systems Department. While the meeting aimed to listen to the problems and suggestions of the actors who provide public transportation and transportation services to citizens in and around Yakakent, the meeting organized also brought together public institutions and legal entities.
"Metropolitan goes to every district for a permanent solution"
Kadir Gürkan, Head of the Department of Transportation, Planning and Rail Systems of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, stated that they visited the actors who provided public transportation services to the public in the meetings held in 6 districts before and that they organized the 7th meeting in Yakakent after Vezirköprü, Kavak, Çarşamba, Terme, Bafra, Alaçam. “We started to listen to the problems and suggestions of the actors who provide public transportation and transportation services to our people within the borders of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality. Such meetings will continue regularly in our districts. In our first meetings, we generally listen to the problems and suggestions of public institutions and transportation actors in the districts we visit. "We will continue our work to solve these problems in a long-term and permanent way with the studies we will do afterwards."
