An Important Step in Railway Liberalization… The Railway Network Notification Has Been Published: Another important step has been taken during the liberalization process of the Railway Sector.

Prepared by TCDD; The Network Statement, which contains necessary information on the railway infrastructure network, access conditions, application, capacity allocation processes and services provided and pricing, was approved by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications and published on 29 November 2016.

Liberalization Process and Network Notification of Railway Sector

As is known, Turkey Liberalization of Railway Transport of about Law No. 6461, 1 2013 had entered into force in May.

With the said Law;

TCDD was restructured as a railway infrastructure operator.
Ği TCDD Transportation Inc. taşıma was established as a subsidiary of TCDD to carry out freight and passenger transportation operations.
Private railway train operations were enabled.
Private railway infrastructure management was promoted.

In the Liberalized Railway Sector, the first Network Statement prepared by TCDD, which is assigned as the infrastructure operator on the national railway network, was also published. Turkey's first Network Statement 01 January - covers the period December 10, 2017.

Purpose of Network Notification

Network Notification requires railway train operators who wish to request for railway infrastructure capacity in TCDD savings;

General terms and conditions for the use of railway infrastructure in TCDD's savings,
The fulfillment of the capacity allocation process and the issues to be considered,
Railway infrastructure and services provided,
Compensation of infrastructure access fees and services provided by TCDD,

aims to provide information.

2017 YEAR NETWORK PERIOD CAPACITY BENEFIT CALENDAR

The 2017 Year Network Reporting Period has also been announced.
