Kizilay-Cayyolu Metro Line Capacity Increased by 60 Percent: Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Melih Gokcek said that the number of wagons serving the Kizilay-Cayyolu metro line (M2) was increased from 30 to 48 and the passenger carrying capacity was increased by 60.

Stating that almost 100 thousand Başkent residents use the Kızılay Çayyolu Metro line every day, Mayor Gökçek noted that after the new wagons were delivered to the EGO by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, it started to be used on the Çayyolu line.

“With the increase in the number of wagons on this line by 60 percent, I hope that our citizens will prefer metro, which is both fast, safe and comfortable, and very cheap, instead of their own vehicles. From now on, the wagons of 6 sets will always be operated at Çayyolu Metro. ”

Drawing attention to the increase in passenger capacity in Çayyolu Metro with the increase in the number of wagons, Mayor Gökçek noted that the passengers will travel more easily during peak hours.
