Çorum Connects to the Black Sea and the Mediterranean by Railways: AK Party Deputy of Çorum and Parliament's Chief of Administration Salim Uslu said that the Ankara - Çorum - Samsun High Speed Train project, whose project work continues, will be connected to Mersin port via Kırıkkale.
Uslu said in his statement, “The process of our Çorum railway work continues rapidly. Our railway, which will contribute greatly to our economy, will also enable our industrialists to reach Samsun Port quickly. Our railway, which also has the feature of high speed train and freight train, has been placed in the North - South corridor of our country with our works. With the completion of the project to be made, the railway that will pass through Çorum; It will turn into a high standard as the most important north-south axis corridor of our country. Our industrialist will have reached Mersin Port by our railroad along with Samsun Port ”.
The Samsun-Amasya-Çorum-Kırıkkale High Speed Railway Survey-Project is planned to be completed in 2003, as well as the completion of the Yerköy-Kırşehir-Aksaray-Ulukışla Railway Project and the ports of Samsun - Mersin in the 'Transport and Communication 2016-2017' booklet prepared by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication.
