Samulaş General Manager Kadir Gürkan, who came to the scene after the accident, said that the truck broke the energy transmission lines while the damper was passing through the level crossing and that the Tekkeköy tram services stopped.
Explaining that they will not be able to provide tram service to Tekkeköy on Friday and at the weekend, Gürkan said, “We will provide tram service between the University and Belediyeevleri Stations. Our request from our passengers is to plan their transportation accordingly ”.
Stating that they immediately started to work on the solution of the problem, Gürkan said, "We think the problem will be solved by Monday".
An investigation into the accident was initiated.
