Details of the Canal Istanbul Project Begins to Reveal: While continuing to determine the route of the Kanal Istanbul Project, the details within the scope of the project started to emerge. According to the news of Habertürk, the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication has reached the final stage in route studies with its financing model for the Kanal Istanbul project. Works on the project have also accelerated at TOKİ, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. For Channel Istanbul, on-site inspections were made on the canals in Panama and the Netherlands. While the development plan works related to the project are continuing, after the acceptance of the 100 thousand scale plan, a 5 thousand plan will be prepared.

100 THOUSAND HOUSING
A total of 100 thousand houses will be built on both sides of Kanal Istanbul. The region will become a city where approximately 500 thousand people will live. Within the scope of the project, which will include 6 bridges, two cities with a population of 1 million 900 thousand were previously thought. The population was reduced by the order of President Tayyip Erdoğan. Two cities with a population of 250-250 thousand or 300-200 thousand will be established. The city, which will be established under the channel, will also have sports and cultural areas, shopping and exhibition centers.

BUNGALOV TOURISM
There will also be an ecological tourism area around Kanal Istanbul. The surroundings of Terkos Lake are also planned to be used for this purpose. In this region, nature tourism will be made with bungalow type houses. Kanal İstanbul will look like the Bosphorus. For this purpose, the second estuary will be on the channel. The Golden Horn is planned where the Sazlıdere Dam protrudes. In recent studies on Kanal Istanbul, there are also restrictions on high-rise buildings. The residences will be built on the ground plus five floors. Houses and buildings will not start right next to the canal. After passing the road from the edge of the channel, 100 meters of gaps will be left. Afterwards, the buildings starting from the low-rise buildings and the number of floors up to five will be built. There will be two city centers on both sides of the channel. Up to 10 floors of buildings will be allowed in those centers.

EIA FOR THE FIRST TIME ARTIFICIAL CHANNEL
Channel Istanbul's environmental impact assessment (EIA) report for the start of the process, an artificial channel will be investigated for the first time in Turkey. This process is of great importance as the tender will be held after the EIA report is received. Within the scope of the EIA, many (including excavated dust) areas will be examined. Seismic movements will also be monitored. Plants and creatures in the region will also be evaluated.

TARGET 2023
The intended date for the completion of the project was determined as 2023. The project is expected to be 400 meters wide. 25 is expected to be invested in a billion dollars.
