39 of the third airport is completed

39 percent of the Third Airport is completed: It was stated that 39 percent of the physical realization at Istanbul's largest airport was completed.

Ahmet Arslan, Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, answered questions from the Parliamentary Planning and Budget Commission.

39 PERCENT COMPLETED

Reminding that it was stated that the works were stopped at the 3rd Airport in Istanbul, Arslan said that as of today, the physical realization is 39 percent. Expressing that there is no problem with financing, Arslan announced that 2,5 billion euros of the financing has been used so far.

Arslan stated that 17 public-private cooperation projects have been implemented in the aviation sector and that 7 of them have been given passenger guarantees, and that the guarantee amount in the projects is 93 million passengers.

40 MILLION EURO WITHOUT WARRANTY

Arslan, the government companies so far under the guarantee 40 million euros paid, because of the number of passengers in the guarantee over 411 million euros, he said.
