Torbali is under construction

A new underpass is being built in Torbalı: İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, which has provided Torbalı with fast and comfortable transportation with İZBAN in partnership with TCDD, is bringing a new vehicle underpass to the district.
In Torbalı, which has entered a new era in public transportation with the arrival of İZBAN to the district, another move is coming from the Metropolitan Municipality to ease the road traffic. The vehicle underpass, built at the intersection of 4543 Street and 3677 Street, is about to be completed.
Providing Torbalı with fast and comfortable transportation with İZBAN in partnership with TCDD, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality is bringing a new vehicle underpass to the district. The project, which was prepared as a vehicle overpass, road and bridge on Tepeköy Mahallesi İsmetpaşa Street, but was revised as a vehicle underpass due to intense demand from the district people, has come to an end. After the amendment, the construction of bored piles, elevator towers, closed section flooring, head beams and pedestrian railings within the scope of the project, which was moved to the intersection of 4543 Street and 3677 Street, was completed. Prefabricated panel construction in the underpass continues. After the installation of the elevators, it is planned to complete the asphalt and landscaping and to open the underpass in December.
The 2-meter-long vehicle underpass, where there will be 220 pedestrian elevators, cost about 7 million TL. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Aziz Kocaoğlu, who visited the district, reminded that the planned overpass project was abandoned at the request of the citizens and said that the construction process was prolonged for this reason. Mayor Kocaoğlu stated that the traffic flow in the region will be relieved when the underpass is put into service.
