Gülermak Signed Dubai Metro 2020 Agreement: Under the leadership of Alstom, the agreement between the Expolink consortium, including Gülermak and ACCIONA, and RTA (Road & Transport Authority) was signed by the parties. According to the signed agreement, the Expolink consortium will do the extension of Dubai's Red Metro Line and the development of the existing system.
The total cost of the works will be 2,6 billion euros. Alstom will get half of that. The other half will be shared between ACCIONA and Gülermak. The new line will connect the city center with the Expo 2020 and will be opened in 2020.
Within the scope of the project, a total of 11,8 km of line will be built, 3,2 km above ground and 15 km underground. The line will start at Nakheel Harbor & Tower station as an extension of the currently operating red metro line. There will be a total of 7 stations in the new station.
