Metrobus road accident: A vehicle entering the metrobus road in Istanbul Sefaköy collided with the metrobus. The driver of the car, which hit the metrobus in a catastrophic accident, died.

Iranian citizen Muhammet Reza, who was driving the 34 MH 939 license plate car from Sefököy to Yenibosna, suddenly lost control of the steering wheel. Reza, who hit the metrobus in the direction of Avcılar by overcoming the barriers, got stuck in the vehicle with the effect of the accident.

Upon the notice, the ambulance and fire brigade came to the scene. The fire department removed the stuck driver from the vehicle. Despite the intervention of the medical teams, Reza was found dead at the scene.

The funeral of the driver was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute in Yenibosna by ambulance. The Metrobus driver was slightly injured in the accident.

Campaigns restarted

In the meantime, the car was involved in the accident and the front part of the damaged area was removed from the scene. During this time, metrobus flights were controlled.

Some passengers who did not want to wait in the stopping metrobuses continued walking on their way.

Firefighters pulled the vehicle that crashed and cleared the metrobus road. After the works, metrobus services were restarted.
