Demirci, Describes Akdağ Ski Center: City Planner and Municipal Council Member Erkan Demirci, who took part in the studies carried out by ALTSO on Akdağ Ski Center, said, “Negotiations with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism regarding Akdağ are continuing and together with the local dynamics of Alanya, It is aimed to be completed quickly ”.

As a result of the efforts of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, the status of Alanya-Akdağ Ski Center was changed with the decision of the Council of Ministers in order to spread tourism in Antalya to 12 months, paving the way for winter sports. City Planner and Alanya Municipal Council Member Erkan Demirci, who is included in the works ALTSO with Akdağ regarding the ongoing studies, said, “As it is known by the public of Alanya, there are well-intentioned studies about the Akdağ Ski Center since the early 1990s. In line with the studies carried out, the region was declared as Akdağ Winter Sports Tourism Center with the decision of the Council of Ministers published in the Official Gazette dated 17.02.1995 and numbered 22205, and it was planned to make zoning plans, allocation of investments, etc. the authorities have been transferred to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Based on this authority, in a small part of the region, 1/25000 scale Environmental Plan, 1/5000 scale Master Development Plan and 1/1000 scale Implementation development plans were prepared and approved by the ministry ”.

'ALTSO INVOLVED ACTIVELY IN THE SUBJECT'
Continuing his speech, Demirci said, “In the process, with the decision of the council of ministers dated 07.09.2005 and no. sized part was planned as "Akdağ Recreation Sub-Region". Since the boundaries of the region planned as a recreation sub-region and the winter sports center planned to be built in Akdağ did not exactly coincide, the plans previously approved by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism could not be implemented, and unfortunately, the subject remained in drag and reached the present day. Alanya Chamber of Industry and Commerce (ALTSO), whose duties include the development of Alanya trade in terms of solving the problem and ensuring the diversification of Alanya Tourism, actively participated in the matter and followed the process. At this stage, my views were also consulted due to my title of city planner, ”he said.

'WE HAVE MADE AN EXAMINATION WITH THE WORKING TEAM'
Demirci said, “In this context, first of all, the ski resort project boundaries and Dim Creek Yaban It was determined that the boundaries of the Life Improvement Area Akdağ Recreation Sub-region should be harmonized and an application was made to the Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs, General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks in order to expand the existing recreation sub-region. The issue has been followed up by ALTSO and the requested correction has been realized.

'THE PROCESS WILL BE COMPLETED QUICKLY WITH THE DYNAMICS OF THE CITY'
Finally, with the decision of the Council of Ministers published in the Official Gazette dated 06.10.2016 and numbered 29849, the name of Akdağ Winter Sports Tourism Center was changed to Akdağ Winter Sports Culture and Tourism Protection and Development Zone. With the arrangement made, it was ensured that the immovables in the region were transferred to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the allocations to be made after the transfer were made by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and significant state incentives were received during the investment phase. Negotiations are continuing with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for the construction of the zoning plans for the construction of a ski center in the Akdağ Recreation Sub-Area, which has been re-arranged by widening its borders, and it is aimed to complete this process quickly with the local dynamics of Alanya. According to the results of the negotiations with the Ministry, the necessary permission letters from other official institutions for the construction of the zoning plan, the preparation of the existing maps and the geological survey studies will be started.
