The Prime Ministry Privatization Administration pressed the button for the privatization of the 108-year-old Haydarpaşa Train Station in Istanbul and its surroundings. Commenting on the privatization of the historical railway station after the July 15 coup attempt as "opportunism", experts noted that the social opposition and legal struggle will continue.
Haydarpaşa Station, one of the important historical and cultural symbols of Istanbul, came to the fore once again with the privatization discussions.
Prime Ministry Privatization Administration announced that the station was within the borders of 9 August. Kadıköy He sent a letter to the Municipality and asked for information about the privatization program.

Lawyer Ersin Albuz, head of the United Transport Employees' Union Istanbul branch no. 1, mentioned the importance of Haydarpaşa in train transportation. Historical Haydarpasa Train Station, which started to serve 108 years ago during the reign of Abdulhamid II, is among the symbols of Istanbul. The station made its last trip on June 18, 2013, on the grounds of the High Speed Train Project.
