The freight train, set out from Ankara on 28 July from the Ankara Mamak 1th Mechanized Infantry Brigade Command, to take military vehicles and ammunition to the 15st Army Command in Istanbul, on 16 July, the night of the coup attempt, was stopped by police teams. It was learned that there were no military officials other than the machinist in the 16-car freight train with 20 armored vehicles, 30 military vans, tracked vehicles and ammunition.
